  • Snowflakes

    Summer is here and I'm back on Revelife! School is out, baseball season is almost done, so i thought i should start posting again. During my Winter-Spring break i have thought about allot of good ideas for posting. So that's why this one is about "Snowflakes". Enjoy!

    One Winter afternoon i was looking out my bedroom window watching the snow fall. i was hoping it would stop sometime soon so i would not have to shovel so much. I was thinking about how every snowflake is different and how it never ceases to amaze me. For some reason it occurred to me how snowflakes are like us. never 2 the same and made from the creator of all things but unlike us, we just don't fall to the ground. We have a purpose. everyone of us does. i find it so sad when someone kills them self because they think there is no reason to live. that's why it is our job too spread the word of Christ. So they know there IS a reason for us to live. That there IS a perpus for everyone of us. That there IS someone there that loves and cares for everyone of us. there is a song from Steven Curtis Chapman called "Fingerprints Of God" and it goes right with this post. you can listen to it or you can just read the lyrics below.

    I can see the tears filling your eyes
    And I know where they're coming from
    They're coming from a heart that's broken in two
    By what you don't see
    The person in the mirror
    Doesn't look like a magazine
    Oh but when I look at you
    It's clear to me

    That I can see the fingerprints of God
    When I look at you
    I can see the fingerprints of God
    And I know it's true
    You're a masterpiece that all creation
    Quietly applauds
    And you're covered with
    The fingerprints of God

    Never has there been and never again
    Will there be another you
    Fashioned by God's hand and perfectly planned
    To be just who you are
    And what He's been creating
    Since the first beat of your heart
    Is a living, breathing
    Priceless work of art

    And I can see the fingerprints of God
    When I look at you
    I can see the fingerprints of God
    And I know it's true
    You're a masterpiece that all creation
    Quietly applauds
    And you're covered with
    The fingerprints of God

    Just look at you
    You're a wonder in the making
    Oh, And God's not through
    In fact, He's just getting started!

  • Who Is God?

    Imagine yourself talking to your best friend. Now imagine him being a nonbeliever. Now your in a middle of a conversation talking about each others lives and at the end of a sentence you say "Isn't God great?" without giving it a second thought. Once you said that there is a long pause........

    your friend looks a little offended at first, then he thinks for a bit. then he finally speaks up and says. "you know, i, have heard alot about this God stuff...." "and i was thinking of looking into it but never got to it...." then he asks the question you wish you would never haft to answer in a situation like this. "Who is God?"

    This is the where you come in, what would you say? now this is one of the BEST situations you could get in. say he just asked "Who is God?" or he wasn't you best-friend just a friend. or say he was a compleat stranger??? would you answer the question? or ignore him and try and bring it up some other time. or lie and say you don't know who he is?

    this is a very important thing to think about for ALL christians.

    2 Samuel 22:3-50 (New International Version

     3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
           my shield and the horn of my salvation.
           He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
           from violent men you save me.

     4 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
           and I am saved from my enemies.

     5 "The waves of death swirled about me;
           the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.

     6 The cords of the grave  coiled around me;
           the snares of death confronted me.

     7 In my distress I called to the LORD;
           I called out to my God.
           From his temple he heard my voice;
           my cry came to his ears.

     8 "The earth trembled and quaked,
           the foundations of the heavens [c] shook;
           they trembled because he was angry.

     9 Smoke rose from his nostrils;
           consuming fire came from his mouth,
           burning coals blazed out of it.

     10 He parted the heavens and came down;
           dark clouds were under his feet.

     11 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
           he soared  on the wings of the wind.

     12 He made darkness his canopy around him—
           the dark  rain clouds of the sky.

     13 Out of the brightness of his presence
           bolts of lightning blazed forth.

     14 The LORD thundered from heaven;
           the voice of the Most High resounded.

     15 He shot arrows and scattered the enemies ,
           bolts of lightning and routed them.

     16 The valleys of the sea were exposed
           and the foundations of the earth laid bare
           at the rebuke of the LORD,
           at the blast of breath from his nostrils.

     17 "He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
           he drew me out of deep waters.

     18 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
           from my foes, who were too strong for me.

     19 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
           but the LORD was my support.

     20 He brought me out into a spacious place;
           he rescued me because he delighted in me.

     21 "The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
           according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.

     22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD;
           I have not done evil by turning from my God.

     23 All his laws are before me;
           I have not turned away from his decrees.

     24 I have been blameless before him
           and have kept myself from sin.

     25 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
           according to my cleanness  in his sight.

     26 "To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
           to the blameless you show yourself blameless,

     27 to the pure you show yourself pure,
           but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.

     28 You save the humble,
           but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.

     29 You are my lamp, O LORD;
           the LORD turns my darkness into light.

     30 With your help I can advance against a troop ;
           with my God I can scale a wall.

     31 "As for God, his way is perfect;
           the word of the LORD is flawless.
           He is a shield
           for all who take refuge in him.

     32 For who is God besides the LORD ?
           And who is the Rock except our God?

     33 It is God who arms me with strength
           and makes my way perfect.

     34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
           he enables me to stand on the heights.

     35 He trains my hands for battle;
           my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

     36 You give me your shield of victory;
           you stoop down to make me great.

     37 You broaden the path beneath me,
           so that my ankles do not turn.

     38 "I pursued my enemies and crushed them;
           I did not turn back till they were destroyed.

     39 I crushed them completely, and they could not rise;
           they fell beneath my feet.

     40 You armed me with strength for battle;
           you made my adversaries bow at my feet.

     41 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight,
           and I destroyed my foes.

     42 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them—
           to the LORD, but he did not answer.

     43 I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth;
           I pounded and trampled them like mud in the streets.

     44 "You have delivered me from the attacks of my people;
           you have preserved me as the head of nations.
           People I did not know are subject to me,

     45 and foreigners come cringing to me;
           as soon as they hear me, they obey me.

     46 They all lose heart;
           they come trembling from their strongholds.

     47 "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock!
           Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!

     48 He is the God who avenges me,
           who puts the nations under me,

     49 who sets me free from my enemies.
           You exalted me above my foes;
           from violent men you rescued me.

     50 Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
           I will sing praises to your name.

  • The Relation Between Christianity And Star Wars

    This may sound like a funny post, but me being a Star Wars fan and all, i know that there is many things in common between these two. This is one of the latest ones i've discovered. In the 5th episode of Star Wars, Luke Skywalker finds out that Darth Vader is his father. Now when he herd this he didn't believe it yet, in fact, he didn't fully believe that he was his father until the next episode. Now imagine a person who's never herd of Christ of even God, being Luke, and imagine Darth Vader has Christ. now if He told him that he was his father do you think he would just except it? Do you think he would just be like "oh, so your my father, i'm cool with that."? And even if a person knows its true doesn't mean he wants to bring God into his life. if they now about God but do not except the fact that Christ Died to pay or sins, and thinks he can go to heaven with just good doings? or the other way around?

    18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
    25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
    26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

                                                                       James 2:18-27 (New King James Version)

    so there was many ways i could have brought this conversation up, i just thought this one was the most fun, being a Star Wars fan and all.
