  • Religion Is Nothing Without Faith

    This post (by accident believe it or not) is like a second part to my last post "Hope Wont Let You Down". lol hey it works!

    Anyways.... faith is similar to hope, Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances  in one's life. Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth of or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. or in this case religion. hope and faith are some of the biggest keys of a successful life following Christ. Faith is what you need to start in believing Christ. Hope is what you need to keep you faith going. Hope is VERY important. because following Christ is never easy. In fact, Life is never easy no matter which path of life you take. then thats when Hope comes in. its like all the sudden you know God can get you though ANY situation. and you keep going..... and going...... and going.....and going..... Thats hope. Now like i said before at first it may seam that God isn't doing anything to help, But for some reason that we may not now of. So its for the better. And also trust is needed in situations like that. And things will get better sometimes it doesn't JUST happen. It takes time. Faith and Hope, one of many things God gives us to get though tough times.

    Thanks God.

     1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
           it is fitting for the upright to praise him.

     2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
           make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

     3 Sing to him a new song;
           play skillfully, and shout for joy.

     4 For the word of the LORD is right and true;
           he is faithful in all he does.

     5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice;
           the earth is full of his unfailing love.

     6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
           their starry host by the breath of his mouth.

     7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars [a] ;
           he puts the deep into storehouses.

     8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
           let all the people of the world revere him.

     9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
           he commanded, and it stood firm.

     10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations;
           he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

     11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
           the purposes of his heart through all generations.

     12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
           the people he chose for his inheritance.

     13 From heaven the LORD looks down
           and sees all mankind;

     14 from his dwelling place he watches
           all who live on earth-

     15 he who forms the hearts of all,
           who considers everything they do.

     16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
           no warrior escapes by his great strength.

     17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
           despite all its great strength it cannot save.

     18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
           on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

     19 to deliver them from death
           and keep them alive in famine.

     20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
           he is our help and our shield.

     21 In him our hearts rejoice,
           for we trust in his holy name.

     22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
           even as we put our hope in you.

  • Hope Wont Let You Down

    Sometimes we need to be reminded that God is allways here and will never let us down. Also things that happen aren't allways good, that because its for the better or some things that we don't even know about in the future. so when something bad happens i think of that God ALLWAYS has his reasons. so thats why we have hope, and allot of people (especially non believers) don't have that. so we need to show others that God can help us though these hard times. And hopefully that will lead them to christ.

     1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. 2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. 3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. 4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength. 5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. 6I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD. 7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; 8And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room. 9Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly. 10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed. 11I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. 12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel. 13For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. 14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. 15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. 16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake. 17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. 18Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. 19Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. 21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city. 22For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. 23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. 24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

  • Two Fathers

    As you know Fathers Day is this weekend. and as most of you know that Fathers Day is a tough day for me, i still miss him but its comforting to know that i have a Father  thats all ways with me, and its also comforting to know that i will see both of them someday. all so its nice to know that both can and will look after me. have a good fathers day!

    3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 6 Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.

  • Loving Your Enemies

    A pastor (Rev Fred Winters) was shot dead during his Sunday sermon in Maryville, Illinois, after all this his wife said if he was still here even after he took his life that Fred would still forgive him. we all now that God wants us to love our enemies but i personally think that me and you probably don't keep to that one well. when my brother hits me my first reaction would be to hit him back. before i can even think about resisting its too late. to me its one of the hardest habit to break. i found a verse that says exactly that, it says in Matthew 5:43-50 in the New International Version

    43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.so there you go that practicality says it all right there. it seams Imposable but God wouldn't give us a rule thats imposable would he? so he knows that we can do it.
