Who Is God?
Imagine yourself talking to your best friend. Now imagine him being a nonbeliever. Now your in a middle of a conversation talking about each others lives and at the end of a sentence you say "Isn't God great?" without giving it a second thought. Once you said that there is a long pause........
your friend looks a little offended at first, then he thinks for a bit. then he finally speaks up and says. "you know, i, have heard alot about this God stuff...." "and i was thinking of looking into it but never got to it...." then he asks the question you wish you would never haft to answer in a situation like this. "Who is God?"
This is the where you come in, what would you say? now this is one of the BEST situations you could get in. say he just asked "Who is God?" or he wasn't you best-friend just a friend. or say he was a compleat stranger??? would you answer the question? or ignore him and try and bring it up some other time. or lie and say you don't know who he is?
this is a very important thing to think about for ALL christians.
2 Samuel 22:3-50 (New International Version
3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation.
He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
from violent men you save me.4 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.5 "The waves of death swirled about me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.6 The cords of the grave coiled around me;
the snares of death confronted me.7 In my distress I called to the LORD;
I called out to my God.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came to his ears.8 "The earth trembled and quaked,
the foundations of the heavens [c] shook;
they trembled because he was angry.9 Smoke rose from his nostrils;
consuming fire came from his mouth,
burning coals blazed out of it.10 He parted the heavens and came down;
dark clouds were under his feet.11 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
he soared on the wings of the wind.12 He made darkness his canopy around him—
the dark rain clouds of the sky.13 Out of the brightness of his presence
bolts of lightning blazed forth.14 The LORD thundered from heaven;
the voice of the Most High resounded.15 He shot arrows and scattered the enemies ,
bolts of lightning and routed them.16 The valleys of the sea were exposed
and the foundations of the earth laid bare
at the rebuke of the LORD,
at the blast of breath from his nostrils.17 "He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
he drew me out of deep waters.18 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.19 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
but the LORD was my support.20 He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.21 "The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD;
I have not done evil by turning from my God.23 All his laws are before me;
I have not turned away from his decrees.24 I have been blameless before him
and have kept myself from sin.25 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
according to my cleanness in his sight.26 "To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
to the blameless you show yourself blameless,27 to the pure you show yourself pure,
but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.28 You save the humble,
but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.29 You are my lamp, O LORD;
the LORD turns my darkness into light.30 With your help I can advance against a troop ;
with my God I can scale a wall.31 "As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him.32 For who is God besides the LORD ?
And who is the Rock except our God?33 It is God who arms me with strength
and makes my way perfect.34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
he enables me to stand on the heights.35 He trains my hands for battle;
my arms can bend a bow of bronze.36 You give me your shield of victory;
you stoop down to make me great.37 You broaden the path beneath me,
so that my ankles do not turn.38 "I pursued my enemies and crushed them;
I did not turn back till they were destroyed.39 I crushed them completely, and they could not rise;
they fell beneath my feet.40 You armed me with strength for battle;
you made my adversaries bow at my feet.41 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight,
and I destroyed my foes.42 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them—
to the LORD, but he did not answer.43 I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth;
I pounded and trampled them like mud in the streets.44 "You have delivered me from the attacks of my people;
you have preserved me as the head of nations.
People I did not know are subject to me,45 and foreigners come cringing to me;
as soon as they hear me, they obey me.46 They all lose heart;
they come trembling from their strongholds.47 "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!48 He is the God who avenges me,
who puts the nations under me,49 who sets me free from my enemies.
You exalted me above my foes;
from violent men you rescued me.50 Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
I will sing praises to your name.Think About It!

The Relation Between Christianity And Star Wars
This may sound like a funny post, but me being a Star Wars fan and all, i know that there is many things in common between these two. This is one of the latest ones i've discovered. In the 5th episode of Star Wars, Luke Skywalker finds out that Darth Vader is his father. Now when he herd this he didn't believe it yet, in fact, he didn't fully believe that he was his father until the next episode. Now imagine a person who's never herd of Christ of even God, being Luke, and imagine Darth Vader has Christ. now if He told him that he was his father do you think he would just except it? Do you think he would just be like "oh, so your my father, i'm cool with that."? And even if a person knows its true doesn't mean he wants to bring God into his life. if they now about God but do not except the fact that Christ Died to pay or sins, and thinks he can go to heaven with just good doings? or the other way around?
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.James 2:18-27 (New King James Version)
so there was many ways i could have brought this conversation up, i just thought this one was the most fun, being a Star Wars fan and all.

Religion Is Nothing Without Faith
This post (by accident believe it or not) is like a second part to my last post "Hope Wont Let You Down". lol hey it works!
Anyways.... faith is similar to hope, Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth of or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. or in this case religion. hope and faith are some of the biggest keys of a successful life following Christ. Faith is what you need to start in believing Christ. Hope is what you need to keep you faith going. Hope is VERY important. because following Christ is never easy. In fact, Life is never easy no matter which path of life you take. then thats when Hope comes in. its like all the sudden you know God can get you though ANY situation. and you keep going..... and going...... and going.....and going..... Thats hope. Now like i said before at first it may seam that God isn't doing anything to help, But for some reason that we may not now of. So its for the better. And also trust is needed in situations like that. And things will get better sometimes it doesn't JUST happen. It takes time. Faith and Hope, one of many things God gives us to get though tough times.
Thanks God.
1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.3 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.4 For the word of the LORD is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars [a] ;
he puts the deep into storehouses.8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
let all the people of the world revere him.9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he chose for his inheritance.13 From heaven the LORD looks down
and sees all mankind;14 from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth-15 he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.Psalm 33
